✍️ About the Author

Kalki Krishnamurthy (1899–1954), whose pen name was ‘Kalki’, was one of the most influential writers and journalists in Tamil literature. His writing career began during India’s freedom struggle, and he later served as editor of the popular Tamil magazine Ananda Vikatan before founding his own magazine, Kalki.

Kalki authored several celebrated works including Ponniyin Selvan, Parthiban Kanavu and Sivakamiyin Sabadam. His contributions extended beyond fiction to political essays, film criticism, music, dance and cultural writing.
