✍️ About the Curators

Nisha Nair-Gupta is an architect, urban researcher and writer. She is a PhD research scholar at the Centre of Urban Science and Engineering, IIT Mumbai, with research interests in urban mobilities, social spaces and spatial justice.

She leads the publishing initiative People Place Project, which focuses on urban research, education and publishing. Her work involves creative direction, editorial strategy, content development and growth initiatives. She has curated and edited five books.

Shashi Velath is the CEO of Tinge of Green, an organisation working towards sustainability solutions and ecosystem development. A renowned war and investigative journalist, he has received prestigious honours including the Ramnath Goenka Award and a Green Oscar.

Transitioning into the social sector, Shashi has worked with international non-profit organisations, building collaborations and addressing complex social challenges. Through Tinge of Green, he focuses on sustainability, innovation, partnerships, research support, policy advocacy and education.
